How My Wife Inspires Me?

In 2018, Radha was diagnosed with breast cancer. Life turned topsy turvy for her, me, and most importantly for the kids.

She underwent chemotherapy and a breast operation. Our son, Dr. Achyuthan Eswar, ensured that she ate whole food plant-based diet and survived the ordeal of chemo and radiation. Her neighbor in the hospital, almost of the same age and condition, did not survive the treatment.

She is one of my greatest sources of inspiration.

Here are 9 things she does that inspire me every day.

1. She encourages me to be myself

My wife supports me 100% in everything I do. She doesn't care what others think of me. She believes in me and gives me the support I need to succeed.

She lets me be me and doesn't judge me for anything I do. She accepts me for who I am and encourages me to live my life to the fullest.

2. She listens to me

My wife truly cares about what I say and wants to hear what I have to say. She listens to me without judgment and asks questions to better understand what I mean.

When I talk to her, she really hears me and responds accordingly. She takes the time to listen to me and give me feedback.

3. She challenges me

My wife pushes me to grow and become a better person. She doesn't let me settle for mediocrity. She expects excellence from me and holds me accountable to achieve goals.

She sets goals for herself and works towards achieving those goals. She motivates me to reach higher heights and strive to be successful.

4. She treats everyone equally

My wife genuinely cares about everyone. She treats everyone with respect and dignity regardless of race, gender, religion, sexual orientation, or any other difference.

She treats everyone with love and compassion. She sees each individual as unique and special.

5. She supports me

My wife is always there for me. She understands my needs and provides emotional support whenever I need it. She is there for me when I am down and lifts me back up when I feel discouraged.

She is always willing to lend a hand and help me with whatever task I need assistance with. She is always willing to go above and beyond to ensure I am taken care of.

6. She is honest

My wife is very straightforward and open-minded. She tells me exactly what she thinks and feels. She isn't afraid to speak her mind and share her thoughts openly.

She is brutally honest with me and I appreciate that. My wife is transparent and shares her feelings freely with me.

She never lies. She speaks her mind and says what's on her mind. She is not afraid to tell you how she feels.

7. She is a wonderful mother & a grandmother

My wife is a wonderful mom and a grandmom. She loves spending time with our three kids and three grandkids and teaching them life lessons. She is patient and encouraging. She teaches them right from wrong. She helps them learn responsibility. She encourages them to be independent. She gives them unconditional love. She is their No.1 Go-To-Person in times of need.

8. She is a wonderful friend

My wife is one of the nicest people I have ever met. She is loyal and trustworthy. She is honest and genuine. She cares deeply for others. She is thoughtful and compassionate. She listens to everyone. She is a true friend.

9. She is a wonderful daughter

My wife is a devoted daughter. She is respectful and obedient. She is responsible and reliable. She works hard to please her parents. She is a role model for her siblings. My in-laws don't have a son. Radha has taken up the responsibility to be the primary caregiver for them in their old age. I am grateful for their unconditional love for me.

I must add that she promised my mom during her last hour that she would take care of my father like her own father. I am eternally grateful for her unconditional motherly love for him.

These are just a few examples of the wonderful qualities my wife possesses. There are countless more things she does that inspire and motivate me daily.
