How Long Does it Take to Succeed To Form a Meditation Habit?

Forming a meditation habit takes anywhere from two weeks to six months. For some, it could take years.

I recommend starting slowly and working up to 20 minutes per session daily. Once you've reached that goal, you can add another session daily.

If you're having trouble getting started, try setting aside 15 minutes at the beginning of your day to sit quietly and meditate.

My first meditation is usually as soon as I wake up. I sit on my bed and meditate for 10 to 15 minutes, bless everyone, bless the world, and then get up.

Creating a meditation habit appears difficult for many.

To create a habit, you must form a new neural pathway in your brain. And once started, you need to reinforce it. Over and over and over.

Until it becomes automatic. Until it becomes second nature.

Habits are formed by repetition. You'll eventually develop a habit if you repeat an action often enough.

Here’s the problem: Most of us don’t have enough willpower to sustain a habit. We spend too much energy resisting temptations. Too little energy creating new patterns.

Here’s my solution: A system that works for me.

#1. Make sure you have a goal

What do you want to achieve? Why should you meditate?

My goal is to realize heaven inside and help you find it.

Write down your goals. Don't think too big or small.

Write down one thing that you want to accomplish.

#2. Be consistent

Once you have set your goal, write it down somewhere visible.

Put it on your bathroom mirror, fridge door, or wherever else you can see it daily.

Make sure you don't skip any days. If you miss a day, go back to step 1 and re-write your goal.

I use a habit tracker tool. You can find one for free in the play store.

#3. Find a support group

Having a friend or family member who supports you in your journey towards achieving your goal will help you stick to your plan.

Find a community of like-minded individuals online. Join an online group dedicated to your goal.

I formed a SKY Habit Coaching group on WhatsApp. Put a comment on this blog if you would like to join it. I will send you a link.

#4. Tell others about your goal

Letting others know about your goal will motivate you to continue working towards your goal.

Tell your friends and family members about your goal. They may offer advice or encouragement.

#5. Change your environment

Changing your environment can help you form a habit.

Find and fix a place where you will sit and meditate. Dedicate the place for meditation only.

Don't do any other activity in the place.

#6. Use affirmations

Affirmations are statements that remind you of your strengths and abilities.

For example, you can say, "Meditation makes me peaceful, healthy, and prosperous."

Affirmations can help you believe in yourself and feel better about yourself.

Do Thureeyam meditation. Enter Alpha level of frequency. Visualise how meditation will make you peaceful, healthy, and prosperous. Repeat the affirmations.

The six steps system works for me.

Create a system that works for you.

Create a system that allows you to build momentum and focus. Make it easy to follow through. Make it fun.

Your system doesn’t have to be perfect. Your system does not have to be complicated. What matters most is that you create something that works for you. Something that makes sense. Something that helps you reach your goals.

Once you’ve created your system, you can use it to create lasting habits. You can create habits that stick.

Building a habit is like playing a sport. You need to practice. You need to train. You need to set yourself up for success.

After all, the best athletes don’t just wake up one morning and decide to play football. They don’t choose to run marathons without training.

They don’t decide that they’ll start exercising tomorrow. They plan. They prepare. They invest. They visualize their habits leading to success.

They put themselves in a position to win.

By following this principle, you can create a meditation habit that sticks.

So, what’s stopping you? Are you facing any obstacles?

Write to me. I would love to know the system that works for you.

Remember, I am here to help you succeed.

I love you.

Be Blessed by the Divine!
